Substance Abuse Treatment Program

During the course of their stay, students are screened and evaluated for their need of substance abuse treatment. Woodward Academy is currently licensed to provide Level I Extended outpatient treatment and Level II.1 Intensive outpatient treatment services. The Academy also provides drug education during skill development classes on the dorm. Treatment cycles last approximately four to six weeks. This can be extended, however, by offering individual counseling if needed. Services are provided through structured group and individual counseling as well as on and off campus AA meetings. Students who have successfully completed the substance abuse treatment program can continue to attend the AA meetings for the duration of their stay at Woodward Academy.
