Woodward Academy is located in Woodward, Iowa, 25 miles northwest of Des Moines and is one of the largest employers in Boone County.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

From Des Moines to Woodward Academy
From I-80/I-35 you want to take the Hwy. 141 exit and it will also say Grimes/Urbandale on the sign. You will stay on Hwy. 141 until you come to the Woodward exit.

You will go through the town of Woodward and once you reach the outskirts you will see a big blue sign that says Woodward Resource Center (formerly known as Woodward State Hospital School) and we are located on their grounds. (We are not owned or operated by the state; we just rent building space from them.) So once you see the blue sign you will be driving in on a boulevard and you want to keep going straight through the first two stop signs.

Then you will turn left after the second stop sign onto Orchard Road. You will come to another stop sign and you take a right. We are towards the end of the Linden Court building so drive down the road until you see our sign out front. There is also a blue awning above our door so you come in that door and come downstairs to the basement offices.

From Ames to Woodward Academy
Take Highway 30 West and then take the Highway 17 exit and it will say Madrid/Luther on the sign. Turn left to go South. You will stay on Hwy. 17 until you reach Madrid and then you turn right onto Hwy. 210 at the stoplight. You will come to a stop sign on the outskirts of Woodward and take a right.
